In Search of Health

21 Steps to Glowing Health

When I first woke up paralysed, I thought my life was over – either due to actually being about to die, or the slower death brought on through severe disability.  With immediate death quickly ruled out (brain bleed was one of the preliminary concerns assessed by the emergency department staff), I was left floating in a fog of the unknown.

After being discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of MS, a jumbo sized zimmer frame and a twice a week pass to a physiotherapist specialising in neurological disorders, I began my journey.

This journey back to health was to take over five years and span the breadth of everything that goes into our bodies.

I wanted to share my journey, but didn't want it to be all about me. Instead I decided to write the book that I would have liked to read when I first became ill. I called it 'In Search of Heath - 21 Steps to Glowing Health'.

The book gives readers the option to include changes in their lives to improve their health and wellbeing.  Some of the steps are as simple as drinking warm water and lemon juice first thing in the morning and going for a daily walk. There are also delicious recipes, facemasks, healthy drinks and, of course, yoga.
